Have you been tasked with adopting Lean within your organization and need to know how and where to begin? Have you heard about the benefits Lean can bring to healthcare delivery and want to learn more? Plan on attending one of our introductory Lean healthcare workshops this fall in Truro, Moncton, Vancouver, or Toronto.

Purpose

This two-day, interactive and engaging workshop will introduce participants to Lean for Healthcare.

Learning Outcome

Participants will become familiar with the skills, knowledge and culture related to continuous process improvement using Lean for Healthcare and will come away with a new way to look at their good work. While this workshop is not designed to prepare you to implement lean across your organization, it will provide you with some personal lean skills and an understanding of the potential Lean has to positively impact your organization.

Goals

This workshop will introduce valuable but simple Lean tools for analyzing, understanding, and redesigning work processes. Through knowledge transfer, a fun yet effective simulation, and practise with Lean tools, opportunities to reduce wasted patient and worker time, dissatisfaction and errors will become apparent. An understanding of applying Lean tools to healthcare, and the many environments in which they can succeed, will be explored.
